How many miles do you guys have on your cars? Has anyone tried leaving the car in idle for 5 minutes to train the ECU?

My frs is doing the same. I stop at a light and rpm dips and stumbles. I noticed if I step on the gas from a rough idle it does seem to misfire or something. I called scion and they claimed I was the first to bring it up. Mines is an auto.

I believe I've had this happen a few times, nothing consistent though.

Gradually coming to a stop will sometimes result in the engine feeling as though it's stalling, I think I've noticed it more during very short stop n' go sprints like parking lots or neighborhoods.

The engine recovers fairly quickly, but do keep us posted on the results. I drive a 6 AT, nothing specific on if it happens more while in manual mode or full auto mode however.

I'm at 1100 miles and have had these same symptoms since 5 miles. Just a matter of time before there are enough people hitting Scion (Or Subaru) service to warrant the inquiry (If they haven't already).

If you do talk to your service department, ask them to mention it to their respective Factory Reps. That will get the ball rolling (Hopefully). I plan on bringing it up at my first oil change, later this week.

I know mine did it once the first week I had it but it did not feel like it would die, just a low idle. I did not think anything of it until I heard about this from a few of the other owners. Since hearing about the issue, I have not seen it again. I just broke the 500 mile mark yesterday.

I plan on it later this week if the problem is still accruing after my new tank of gas.

Just worried about what all they have to do with my brand new car in order to figure it out the problem

Bringing mine in tomorrow to see if they can pull the code. This happened to me last night, and it scared the crap out of me :/. I got a CEL also, with the car in neutral.

Good thing it threw a code, that should help locate the issue, and indeed make it harder for service reps to blow it off.

If this happens to you try to remember if it happens shortly after you refuel.

If it goes into purge and the purge mixture is super rich because you just fueled up this can happen. It has happened to me once, but it was the first stop after getting off the highway after I fad just fueled up about a mile before.
