Hardwood Floor in Trunk?
So, for a long time I've wanted to put hardwood flooring in my trunk.
Mostly because I like the "luxury" look to it. Has anyone here done this before, or some tips? I'm not very crafty with this kind of stuff, so tips on the best way to make it look good would be great lol Pic: Similar to that when I bag my car. inb4 "dont ruin your car"

Find a piece of 1/8 inch veener that you like. Won't weigh much at all. Then cut to fit. It may cost some real $$$ for the one you want. Good cabinet plywood is expensive.

Dude it's fucking simple to do. You have the perfect template. Just use the current floor mat you have.
Buy a sheet of fake hard wood for like $20 tops, small cabinet hinges, put them the same exact place where the folds are bam your done. The same thing for the real wood. Personally, I think it's 110% useless. Any shit you put in will slide around, scratching and scuffing the floor. Unless your an all show and no go fool, then by all means do it. I'll just point and laugh.

![]() Do it. Just cut up a piece of that non-skid that goes under area rugs. You can use that if you need to load anything in there.

If you do make it yourself, you might have to split it into 2 or 3 parts for it to bend and fit.
But I think you can build it yourself with a skill saw, sanding, wood stain and patience. Shouldn't be too expensive either. |
