Quick question in regards to the race upgrade, the foam piece that goes over the bumper isn't supposed to fit on after this thing goes on right?

It fit fine with my BRZ and another local customer's FR-S fine when I installed it. The foam moved around too much for my liking though and I eventually pulled it out and left it out. Hope that helps.

Thanks, good to know, I guess in the event of an accident that foam isn't gonna do much anyways.

Just wondering, has anyone fitted the splitter with a lip on already?

A few have but it all depends on the lip. If the lip hangs below the bumper, it makes it much more difficult to install.

@NotEric6 What are the dimensions for the aluminum spacers used for the rear side of the splitter? ID OD and size?

Sorry I missed this, ID is 6mm for an M6 bolt. OD is 12mm. Height is 16mm.

Have an update for anyone looking for another upgrade to the splitter. We are producing these and they should be available in the next month. They are splitter endplates and are built of dry carbon. We will have CFD data on these shortly, been hectic lately and I haven't gotten to put it in a nicely formatted document yet.

How far does this splitter protrude from the front and side of the car? I'm guessing 3 inches, but it is hard to tell from the pictures.

That would be correct. It's approximately 3".

Our splitter endplates will be available soon, as will a CFD report of their expected performance increases. They will be dry carbon as shown in the above photos .

Thanks,
Eric

Do you think there would be much benefit from a 5 inch (or larger) version around a track on a non FI car, or do you think that you would be reaching the point of diminishing returns above 3 inches. I also realize that the bigger you go, the more likely you are going to have trouble getting over curbs, etc., but my primary concern is at the track.

Thanks!

Yes, as you increase length forward, you increase downforce. We didn't want to go much over 3" due to reasons you just stated, and thus we designed a few way to make more downforce without going further forward!

Ultimately, the aero balance needs to be looked at as a whole. You wouldn't want a 5" splitter without a rear wing.

Thanks sir . They really make the front end look aggressive and are quite functional!
