I heard from a reliable source that they had to plan the production tooling for the changed name badges years in advance.

I ALSO heard they will just push different plastic parts into the holes where the name badge mounts.

I am sooo confused. Not sure who to believe???

I will almost guarantee that the price will go up the minute that Toyota badge hits the car.
What I hope is that we also get the choice in trim levels that everybody else gets to make that price jump worth while.

yea, that's a pretty certain thing just to cover the "negotiation" factor on the buying experience once it is a Toyota.

What will *I* do? Absolutely nothing. It doesn't affect or impact me in any way. I have my FR-S. There will still be TRD parts and third party aftermarket parts. I have always taken it to my Toyota dealership for service and I'll still be taking it there.

This is going to impact people who haven't yet bought one far more than those of us who have one.

2016 is already gonna be a good year(;

I hope that the FRS will sell a lot better too once it has the Toyota badge on it.

It isn't like Scion actually made the bloody things it is just a Toyota with some stick on plates.
The only thing that is likely for sure in the price of the 17s up just jumped a couple of thousand dollars for no real reason other than Toyota.

I completely agree with you guys, In the big scheme of things nothing has changed. As for my FR-S it has already been converted into an 86 so nothing for me at least has really changed other then now I can now officially call my "Scion" a "Toyota".

It's funny how some of you have put Toyota badges on your FR-S. If you look at all the parts that are actually integral to your car you'll find Subaru stamped on them.

So, does this increase the value of a Scion FR-S or not? I would like to keep my '13 even when I get my next car, but if its not worth anything it wouldn't make sense to keep it. That said I would consider keeping it anyway, if I don't get a new 86 for my next car.

Why exactly would it not be worth anything? Did the aveo's price drop when they closed Pontiac and stopped making the wave?!

I really fail to see the logic of your comment.... if there is any to begin with

Also how would it be more worth it for you to sell it if it's worth nothing?!? If anything you should keep it if it's worth nothing(reduces losses) and sell it if it keeps it's price high(reduces cost of ownership).
