^ I made a poll in this thread ^

I'm guessing some people will keep their scion badges just because the brand is now dead and as of August 2016 that badge will cease to exist. I don't think it'll become a huge deal but I bet there WILL be people with that mentality. Who knows, someone might switch their subaru badge over for scion

edit: to all those people who switched to Toyota badges were just pridicting the future, or were becoming hipsters.

Nope. I still have my flat black Toyota badges waiting to go on, just waiting for summer.

Funny enough, 86s in other markets (JDM, AUS, etc) have been slapping on Scion badges since the car same out. Just trying to be different I guess.

It's a way of being different. In other countries, just like us, they swap the badges all the time.

LOL but let's be real...

1) very few of us are building track-only race cars out of your street cars;
2) the installation of a header or turbo kit (with very few exceptions) for a street vehicle is already in violation of federal and CA laws... that hasn't stopped too many folks

to be clear, I oppose that proposed rule too.

the difference is EPA cracks down on manufacturing usually. So the pieces just won't exist in the US anymore so choosing to break the law won't be choice lol

LOL I hope you realize how crazy that sounds.

What if the law allowed manufacturers to continue making such parts for race cars but had stiff penalties for them if they were to sell to people they knew or had a reasonable likelihood of knowing would use them on a street car. That would let true racers do their thing but really shut the door on the "street racers".

I know. As I wrote it I was like " Wait, does this make sense? Yeah, it does. Kinda."

Fine is $37,500 per part. I think it would be too hard to enforce unless there was like a registration system for race cars. Thag would be a nightmare and waste of govt resources imo

Pretty soon once self driving electric cars take over we won't even be able to drive our twins on the road, we'll have to tow them to a racetrack to enjoy them.

Depends on where. East and West coasts and Quebec have some spectacular ones. Ontario has some OK ones and the Prairies (before the mountains) are like driving through Kansas. Up north only have roads when the lakes are frozen over.

Really it is pretty much the same layout as the US only more north.
