That remains to be seen. A blog quoting a clickbait stating they had access to a "top secret meeting" is not exactly a firm statement. Somehow I do not believe that Toyota/Scion would use Auto Buzzard.com as their main source of news release.

worst case scenario is it happens and people won't have to say they have a "Scion" when they buy an FRS.

My bad if so. I usually check things pretty thoroughly, but I believed it because it was motor trend.

Hmm... I'm just trying to see how small a world it is. You mentioned Cargil, beef plants, and Texas. We built a machine for them just over a year ago. Was installed in their Friona plant, which looked to be in a pretty remote part of Texas.

I have not been with them for 15 years so may not have been a plant then. They have hundreds anyway and I was at about 30 of them.

I wrote this in main topic thread, but only thing Toyota is axing is tC. After selling last RS, they gonna stop making tC... So that means that last gen RS tC gonna be sold like gold lol

I'm kind of torn on this. On one hand, this allows the FR-S to finally have multiple trims as a result of the Toyota badging and finally bring the Monogram features to more FR... oh, sorry, I mean USDM GT86s beyond the Monograms and 10/Release Series. That probably won't matter much at least exterior-wise since the GT86 is due for a facelift next model year.

On the other hand, Scion has been kind of a staple of Toyota since 2002. Not as long as Lexus, but still, I'm shocked and kind of sad. It's funny that I would never have seen myself in a Scion as I too at one point didn't have a high opinion of the brand, but here I am, in one of the very last Scions to be produced.

Oh well, it was a good run Scion.

On the bright side, I own one of the last Scions ever to be made. That means I own a car with badges that still means absolutely nothing to car collectors!
