Hey, just wanted to let everyone know you can also connect to the Valentine 1 V1Connection bluetooth dongle with this unit and control/program the V1 from it. It took me some time to figure it out but it does work. Even the seller in amazon said it couldnt be done but all it takes is an Xposed module "XposedMTC" to fool the HU into accepting any device. Was also able to pair a generic ODB bluetooth interface and torque is also working great!!
Im writing this from a wired keyboard. Tried using a bluetooth kb but thats the one thing I have not been able to figure out. Only complaint I have about this unit now is how limited the equalizer is; no separate control for external subwoofer amp. Coming from the base stock head unit this still is a huge step up and would definitely recommend it. Sent from my rk3188 using Tapatalk

It's not connected in the pic because my car was in the garage and I didn't want it running.

Figured I would add this video to the thread because it actually showcases the audio output of this head unit. I really want to pull the trigger on this but I also do not want to throw 300+ dollars away on a piece of shit that could fall apart in 6 months. Anyone have any other personal experiences to add regarding this head unit? I messaged a Joying rep asking if there was anyway for them to add more RAM to the unit at an additional cost but they stated that they were not working on anymore customization's with this model but they did say that the future model may have more than 1gb of RAM.

I've had mine for over a year and still love it. I am using all external amps now, but even when using internal amps it sounded fine. Can't beat it for $300.
There is lots of support and customizations that can be done to it, which is icing on the cake. |

Everything is upgraded, even wires. Android unit feeds aftermarket amp which feeds aftermarket speakers.

Got you, so basically just for starters this head unit will push the stock audio setup in our cars fine and an aftermarket amp can be added in the future to this head unit to improve audio quality?

Yes , its totally fine on the stock stuff. My issue was I had an aftermarket amp/sub while I was running every other speaker on the internal amps. The mids/highs were screaming while the sub was hardly doing anything. Once everything was on external amps I could balance everything out.

For those that came with an external bluetooth mic, did you need to do the hardwire modification or just plug it in to the back of the unit?
How was the sound quality? |

Mine (GA5167) is dual core and there are quads out now. Many of these units come from the same manufacturer, regardless of branding.

Hey, have you been experiencing the headunit display shutting off or not working at startup? It's only happened to me 3 times out of the year and a half I've had it, and after turning my car off and letting it sit for a few hours the display would be fine again.
