So cheaper = better? I also do not understand your point. If somebody prefers the more expensive kit then so be it. The price is not the deciding factor on which (subjectively) looks better.

Those todoroki fenders look a whole bunch better than the rocket bunney rivet on pieces. Smooth and functional while not ruining the lines.

Every single wide body CAR recently (not just 86) has been rocket bunny. The thing that gets me the most are the four - five circular trademark holes on the front bumpers. That, and that every one I have seen in person, on the road, has been a "stance" vehicle and none have been well done. Certain pictures make me think I might like it, but I have never seen one in person that has been nice. Add on the fact that people will try and fit wheels they shouldn't with spacers....to do it right you'd need custom built wheels for the most part... but that's not in the budget... and then it is a viscious circle of cut corners and shoddy workmanship.

Tcoat already addressed this, so I won't.

the only RB fenders i like are when they're molded on to the car. but molding body panels make me paranoid. ive seen way too many molded lips/kits back in the day and when they crack... game over lol

I never said i was telling you to like either kit more. Personally i think the Varis kit is too over the top, thats my opinion. But if you want to put on a $5000 body kit on your car thats your buisness. I was just giving you a realistic look at cost and personal opinion. On another note i think its ignorant to just say rocket bunny is over played when You barely see one on the street... plus the style is DTM...Rocket bunny is just a company....

OK. The way you wrote it before made it seem like the price was the main factor. If you are talking personal preference then that is a different ball game.

I have done a few rocket bunny kits, and a fully molded varis kit. overall, the quality of the varis was FAR superior to the rocket bunny parts. fitment was 100%, finish really needed nothing but a quick prime and block before paint. all tabs were carbon fiber reinforced on the backside for strength. cutting/welding/re-sealing the quarters is the same between the two kits. if you want to mold it all in, things start to get a little different. authentic rocket bunny fitment wasn't horrible, but it did take a decent amount of finish work before i had it good enough to paint.

as far as looks go, that's all on you.

Lmao, do you read what you type before submitting it? The Focus ST is my wife's car. Notice how it says "'16 STI" next to it? That's mine. You know what I traded in for that car? A '13 FRS.

Given that my build thread is still active 8 months after selling the car, and that my inbox is full again from random people asking me questions regarding sourcing parts and setting up their cars, maybe I actually know a little bit about these cars.

In fact, 90% of the reason I'm still active on this forum is because I'm constantly getting questions regarding this car and my build.

Hell, even an employee from Scion contacted me on this forum to get info on the car:

Best response here^^^!
The looks of each kit are totally subjective and really can not be debated in any form of rational manner but the quality of parts and the workmanship involved in doing things right can make or break either kit. The only RB I saw in real life looked like it was thrown on by a one eyed, drunken, carpenter and ones like that can give a whole line a bad rep. Without dedicating the time and money to finish them properly they are going to look bad and continue to give them a bad rep.

Do whatever you like, there's no point comparing the kits. I will say however it is frustrating to see otherwise stock cars with a wide body.
