The technical requirements for a seatbelt mount in this day and age are insane. The seatbelt will hold up for anything, but your body will experience such forces, that you'll long be dead before the mount breaks.

So technically you are right, the isofix baby mounts and not rated for seatbelt. But probably strong enough to withstand forces well within reasonable limits were the survival of the body is still possible.

I put probably because there are no tests for it and it's your own risk. In some cases, like for icebär, the German mandatory technical inspection will approve (and hence assume culpability). In other cases they won't (depending where you go and which guy is at work).

Honestly if you want to go full race harness then just get a small roll bar or a full roll bar cage and just delete the rear seats. Then install your harness.

That's why i don't go on weekends and if i do, it's just for watching.

Seems like a reasonable price indeed. I'm still undecided on what suspension i'll go for, but i'd love to have it setup by them in one of my trips...

Pre season polishing/waxing

So I've got a big update for you.

The car got the last Alcanara parts in the Interior. I'm so happy with them, it looks so much better than OEM!!!

Then I started with a big clean wash.

After that it took me 2 days to polish the whole car. It was hard but the result is very very good.
The car got polished with Menzerna FG400 and after that waxed with Collinite 476s to protect the paint. The wheel have been protected with Sonax Profi Line Polymere Netshield as well.

I love that view, that Ass

On March 26th I'll be doing a drift training.
April 6th I will drive to the best track in the world, the Nuerburgring Nordschleife to do some laps. Can't wait!!!

Wow, thankyou for sharing this great build. Your modifications are exactly what I'm wanting to do, functional mods to improve the car's performance on the track.

May I ask how the oil cooler is going? As I'm wanting an oil cooler but leaning towards a Water-Oil cooler.

My grey 86 is on its way from Japan right now and I've already purchased 18x7 Superleggera in Silver, different to your Ultraleggera but very similar. Had to use your photos to decide whether to buy them or not :P

Hi Niko86!!

Thanks for the flowers!

I'm defenetly going for the 10 row oil cooler, its more effective and will help you especially on track to keep the temperature down. I've had a Trackday back in 2015 on the famous Nürburgring Nordschleife at 35°C pure sunshine the whole day. The max. oil temp. was 110°C!! I think that says it all.

I'm not owning the car anymore, I've crashed it on the Nürburgring this years April. Sad for the car and the build, but I'm happy that I was totally ok. The cat was a full damaged. Now I'm looking for something new, or waiting till the facelift BRZ enters the German Showrooms.

Oh no! Such sad news! But possibly the best place to crash, no?

I mourn your loss but car shopping is always fun. Perhaps a 911R?

Thankyou for the oil cooler info. I think I may go the air-oil cooler like yours... It gets very hot in Australia, +40°C on some race tracks.

911R, are you joking? That car is 190.000€, already sold out and double the price now.

It's not the best track to crash, it was dangerous and very hard!

No Problem, for Straya a good choice!

here some photos:

there was a lot damage under the car and the whole structure was not 100% any more.

What a shame, but at least you are ok and that's all that matters.

I saw some footage on YouTube back in the day but i didn't want to post here about it until you said anything (i also keep an eye on the german forum). How did it happen? Lost it on the little "jump" entering Adenauer Forst?
