I got the FRS because I legitimately think it's the new Datsun Z car, 2000gt. Isn't that what the Toyota sports car that spawned the Datsun rival was? Anyways. Essentially a two seater, RWD, low power, nimble, and CHEAP. that's precisely why I wanted this car. One day our children or grand children will call these classics.

Lots of people had Z cars, right?

Father. It is fixed now.

Anyways theres a lot of Z fans because honestly the newer Zs have gotten too heavy and lost the pure driving feel that the older 240z to 280z had. Also I personally think the newer 370z is kind of ugly. Trust me I considered it when buying a new car... but I liked the FRS more. I also agree with @MrFisty that these car WILL become a classic in years to come. It's kind of the first of its kind and brings back a lot of people to the pureness of the older, simpler cars that people learned and crew up on.

Yeah I almost got a 350z then wanted a 370z before I ended up just buying my FRS one day. I wasnt planning on getting a new car it kinda just happened. I am glad it did though hahaha

I was about to say just this about the 350/370. They have kept a few if the internal touches/body lines that make it a Z,but they have ruined the Z brand in my opinion.

I'm still pissed they aren't making the IDX. It would have come out about when I was getting a prof. Job. I would have bought one brand new.

Just do a quick google search for Nissan Gripz. It's basically a crossover Z.

The IDX was originally designed to be a direct competitor for the FRS. I remember reading that the owner of nissan liked the 86 a lot and thought toyota did a great job thats where the whole IDX came from.. too bad they are not making it.. It would be close to going back to their roots with the original 240z.
