Anyone running Work S1R 18x9 or smaller?

Trying to decide on what wheels I want to go for this coming summer.
After a previous thread of mine, its looking like I'll be getting Tein Flex A coilovers and nothing as big as 9.5" wide since it just seems to be too much trouble. I don't want clearance issues, a stanced look, or have to do fender work.

Anyway, I love how the Work S1R looks, especially the white with chrome lip version. I've only seen one thread here with 18x9 size though: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52011

The thread is pretty old and most of the images are broken, so I thought I'd make a new thread and see if theres anyone out there who has info about our twins with Work S1R in smaller sizes. I'm especially curious to see how a 17" size would look. But again, google and these forums turned up nothing for me.

Side note, my short list right now: 57DR (17 or 18x8.5 in mag blue), TE37 (18x8.5 in black with chrome lip), still kinda want the 57C6 in 18x9.5 but straying away from that.

What are you going to be doing with your car? Your wheel choices are kind of on the opposite ends from each other. The Work's are heavy, but look very nice, whereas the 57DR and TE37 are on the light-ish racing side of things.

As far as how the S1R would look on the car, just picture the 18" wheel, but a little smaller. Interesting that this thread was one of the first google returns I got.

95% street driving. So other than fitment and technical issues, my wheel choice relies heavily on looks.

And yea that thread shows 17" but they're all pics of the really wide, deep dish ones. The smallest in that thread is a 17x9.5 in the first post with -6 offset on a wide body.

Look for a replica thread then. They'll look exactly the same. Believe one example is the Rota D2 or D2-EX.

Guess you'll have to use your imagination then.

I was going to run a square, however for my daily needs, I didn't need something in that caliber because I was not planning on tracking the 86 on these wheels.
The staggered gives it such an aggressive look though.

Hmm true. I was thinking of going square so I dont lose functionality (just out of principle) and to make tire rotation possible. My car is a year old now with only 4400 miles though... hm.

Mind if I ask how much your wheels + tires cost in total? 4k?

God that is gorgeous.

I was talking to @RavSpec recently and they also recommended the T7R-2P based on my preferences. Oh so many options :O

Thanks! Yeah so many options, they were my second choice but they look good on almost any vehicle and colour.

I'm in the same boat as you except im debating going even smaller to maintain stock feel / grip.

S1R in 17x7.5 +20 would be ideal IMO. Stock driving characteristics with decent dish and flush with fenders. The only reason I havent pulled the trigger is price and also being the only guy to run that setup (as far as I can tell) makes me nervous.
