Me, too. This looks too much like Mt. Washington. Ever been there? At the top, the crossroads of the AT, an auto road and the cog railway -- restaurants, gift shops, those cheesy binocular things you put a quarter in, showers and dressing rooms, and people, people, people everywhere. And really desolate and rocky from sudden violent weather all year. I prefer our softer, wooded, more temperate mountains, don't you? Thanks for replying.

Middle Tennessee got 7-9 inches. Snapped this on my way home from work after being there only 2.5 hours. This was the first time I've ever had to shovel my driveway in the 18 years I've been living here.

The BRZ is my daily ride so it was destined to see the action. I personally only had on issue on the ride home. There's a hill roughly 500 yards long with a 30-35% inclined grade to it. Was almost 3/4 of the way up and the rear ends decided to get loose. I literally drifted sideways the last part of the hill. It was definitely a quick but fun experience lol

Anyway...I just turned on the snow button and drove 35 mph the whole way home. Slow and easy.

I was wearing shorts in Laredo yesterday, but it got really cold today. It's down to 54° now. Not sure if I can make it home in this horrible weather.

i have Blizzaks on my BRZ. its a beast in the snow. proper tires make all the difference. my friend had potenzas on his STi and would get stuck on flat ground. all four wheels spinning going nowhere. AWD means nothing if you got the wrong tires. lol.

Californian here, what is this "Ice and Snow" you speak of?

We did get El Nino, almost got hydrolocked a few times.

Got some snow tires on. But definitely need something to weigh down the trunk. rear was kicking out to the right on a hill with highway stop and go.

My car sits in the garage for winter, had to drive it for the first time in 3 years in the snow with the tires it ships with, and it was bad. I heard how bad they were in the snow but did not believe it until I tried it. I got around the block and called it quit. Took me 5 tries to get it up the drive way and back into the garage.

The mix of snow/rain yesterday got a little more slick than usual on the hill by my apartment, and I lost momentum turning onto it due to oncoming traffic.

Probably could have gotten up easier if I had taken a second run at it, but used some traction grips to get the car going again up the hill.

Sideways is just the LSD. For the significant improvement in forward traction, you give up lateral stability.
