Murder > punching someone in the face for no reason

So it's okay to punch someone in the face for no reason? Because if it's okay to do one thing because something else is worse, then you must be saying it's okay to punch someone in the face for no reason.

I don't think anyone is saying that. It just seems you're putting white sidemarkers above everything else on the list of annoying mods.

I'm far more irritated with people who DON'T have any of their lights on than I am with people who have obnoxious lights. Because at least they stand out. Believe me, this is a common occurence in California. I made a right turn and nearly got hit by a VW because I didn't see him SPEEDING with his lights off.

🤔 what about...

HIDS in reflector housing> white bulbs?

Is that how the shitty human scale works?

No, I'm talking about side markers because that's what this thread is about. Why the hell would I just spontaneously start talking about off-topic annoying mods?

If you want to make a thread about some other annoying mod, and I see a problem with it, I'll talk about that there. I've had some knock-down drag-out fights on the Jeep boards about those shitty 5x7 Ebay HID housings and the cheap Chinese LED headlights that blind everyone within 3/4 of a mile of the vehicle when that's what the thread was about. But that's not what we're discussing here, so it makes sense I wouldn't talk about it unless you're just grasping for some way to justify continuing to use annoying white side markers.

Who the fuck said I was justifying the use of them? I said that I really don't care for them, but I also don't really a shit if someone was using them.

Clearly we think differently on what annoys and doesn't annoy us, so I'm not really gonna argue the point with you.

I want to actually run the USDM amber sidemarkers with amber LEDs. Not a big fan of the bump on the JDM ones.

Mine leaked, and caused blinky LEDs. Now that surely isn't legal

I'll probably have pics when they are reinstalled with the car all clean

I used to drive a '13 GTI and I had replaced my amber side markers with clear ones. Then I got a ticket for my aftermarket muffler. When I went to the CHP station, the officer passed me for my exhaust but threatened to give me another ticket for the side reflectors or I could come back.

So, unless it's amber, you could get a ticket (in California at least). Will you get stopped only for side markers? I'd say probably not. I plan on replacing my BRZ's markers with black or clear. I think it's worth the $25 fix-it ticket.

So I've been thinking about this. I didn't actually ever stop to consider how the light might distract other drivers. I knew that I wanted clear sidemarkers because IMO it looks way better on asphalt, and I never stopped to think about vision of others while driving.

I have decided to switch to amber bulbs in the clear housing. Thank you for opening my eyes
