My bad, got confused with blow off valves.

Not the same, but similar results. More wasteful? Absolutely. Still effective though.

If you wanted to limit to 9 psi, you could achieve this with a wastegate. Your blower will still be spinning at the RPM for, say, 12 psi, but you'd only have 9 psi of manifold pressure. The remaining pressure would just be bled off.

My main concern is keeping the car safe and reliable on the streets, even when I decide to do some near redline passes on the highway >_>
Octane boosters DO NOT WORK.

You need real race fuel, or ethanol, to safely run the HBP.

DO NOT run it with 91. 93 is useable, if you have an excellent tuner, but again, we do not recommend it to be safe.

Hm I was looking around and even on these forums people seem to believe additive from Torco works.

But damn... No E85 thats easily accessible for me, and some gas stations dont even have 93 -.-

Looks like its best for me to stick with the stock pulley.

Torco Accelerator will prevent knock, yes, but using real race fuel is a cheaper solution in the long run.

I wish E85 was easily accessible in NYC T_T

Gotta trek out to long island or bronx (so like.. 20-30miles+ from my house) just to get it.

Real race fuel isnt any easier to get either. So I guess I'll stick to the normal pulley which will give me like.. 250-280WHP depending on other mods from what i understand.

Lmao, the thought has crossed my mind, but keeping 55gal drums in my NYC apartment sounds like asking to be burned alive.

Has anybody looked into making your own ethanol? Same process as moonshine, and I think you can get a permit for "alternative fuels" to stay legit. Might be a lot of work for not much fuel, though.

The yield on making your own is actually pretty good. I think one bushel of corn gets you a liter IIRC. The equipment just takes up a decent amount of space in your garage. When I retire I am planning to make it a hobby to grow my own fuel.

E100 is very, very difficult to start a car on. E98 is common as a race fuel though.

I do, however, have access to lab grade E100, and it smells literally like corn.
