I just dumped my FRS for a '15R/T. I got sick of having to sardine myself into a car everymorning. You can't really compare the two cars, IMHO. The R/T feels like a boat but is a hell of a lot more comfortable to ride in, has a real back seat that adults can use.

I loved the FRS but it didn't make a good daily driver for me. I too was at the point of forced induction but it just didn't make long term sense.

The rate jack on my insurance renewal for the FRS and a 5k off MSRP deal on a '15 R/T made it a no brainer. The scion dealer I purchased from was also a dodge dealer too.

I think long term if you really want to get a car into 11's your aftermarket support pathway is much more clearer on a V8 platform.

I had a nice 2013 brz and sold it to get a Scat pack. I wish I had my brz back This Sack pack is a POS and Dodge is buying it back. Sun roof leaking had 2 radios replaced wiring harness replaced bad paint bluetooth dose not work all the time and they can not line it up I would run from the Scat pack I my get a new Brz or a Gt350 Mustang.

I know it's juvenile, but to this day it's hard to get over the label "scat" being stuck on any major purchase. Sure its cool and Americana hot-roddy, but I can't help still hear "bear scat, deer scat, boar scat, Scat pack".

I'll show myself out now...

Have you driven the scat pack? You sound like youre defending it which may change drastically after a test drive.

I actually just did last night. Big but manageable. The clutch is noticeably stiffer than our cars. Shifter not as good or clear as that in the FRS. Torque is very nice :P Definitely feels like you're sitting high up. Suspension on the Scat felt much better than the SXT I test drove; it was confidence inspiring.

I will say I prefer the clutch and shifter on our cars compared to the Challenger after driving it. So I'm not sure if I'm going to make the jump yet. Going to try for another test drive.

The clutch is definitely different. However I feel that it shifts much smoother than the FRS did when the tranny was cold. I didn't get the SP, just the RT+. They really are two different cars but I fit much better in the Challenger. The FRS was very similar to my Cayman S without the power. The Challenger is more like my Corvette.

I just couldn't believe the insurance jack on my renewal for the FRS, It cost more than my F350 and my wifes Passat combined. More than the Cayman and the C6. That combined with my injury was the final straw.

There are so many cool cars out there these days. I'm going drive as many as I can.

Every vehicle is going to have some sort of quirky issue, it all gets down to do the benefits outweigh the negatives and your personal tolerance level.

Yeah man. I was pretty gentle on my car with the SC too. Bad quality from the factory I guess. If I had to do it again I'd probably just stay NA for a DD, reliability wise. You might get lucky and have no problems. Its a gamble, and a costly one at that.

Personally I like the Charger better then the challenger. But IMO unless you are good with the wrench and want to work on your car, do not FI a twin. IMO unless the car is really dialed in and you are intune with it, its not a matter of if but when the motor will pop... Plus if you live in a state with tough emission standards good luck

Coworker has a 16 Challenger RT, it's comfortable, hard to beat the smooth low end torque of V8, would totally love to own one unfortunately daily commute consists of 30+ miles to work which would kill my wallet on gas if I had the Challenger.
