How long until it spills over here? We have been pretty much drama free for a while now so it is just about due.

That is also the reason why I haven't given a serious look for the MR2, because I doubt I'll find one within reason that is close to turnkey, or doesn't need some serious restoration to be a decent weekend driver.
Which gen MR2? I've been pondering a Spyder recently, as they've recently dropped as low as clean 2nd gens in price around here. Don't be afraid of MR2s! They're only slightly more difficult than a Corolla to maintain!

Mostly freeway with maybe a 5minute trip from the house to the freeway. I averaged roughly 68mph the whole time..

Ha! Same here.

I've been a techno-dweeb socialite before "social media" was "social media". I did the whole BBS thing back in the day, including running or moderating a couple, did AOL for a while, and was a beta tester and forum admin for the original Microsoft Network (their competition to AOL) for a period of time.

I never met an online community I didn't like until I ran smack into Facebook. It took me about two weeks to decide it was NOT for me and I deleted my account never to return.

MK1 (preferably an '85 or '86) and it needs to be Red with black whale tail. Not afraid of them (I owned one purchased new and drove it for 200,000 miles), just don't have time to get one to the condition I would want.

I'm not a fan of the Spyders, just don't like the look or the convertible top. If it was a hardtop I would consider. I do like the MKII as well, but I have a soft spot for the original.

Ah, yes. Good condition first gen ones are getting increasingly hard to find.

I like the 2nd gens also, but paying $5K+ for a clean one just doesn't make sense to me when Spyders are basically in the same ballpark, with none of the wear and tear. Either way, I'd be shopping for a 1VZ or a 1MZ.

Spyders are fun. I got one last October and like it but it really needs suspension work. Sooooo much body roll its insane. It is so damn light though.

I love 2nd gens but like was said too damn expensive for a clean one

Well, I highly doubt, it'll spill over here. It was pretty fun read of admin & ex-admin bitching at each other lol

We, mods are in good relation with each other, so I highly doubt that'll happen here AND our boss is strict, so that kind of BS will never happens here.
