Hyper Blue Scratch Help
So recently someone had hit and left a scratch on my car while I was at work and when I came out I saw the aftermath. I know that there are multiple posts about how to DIY fix it but I'm still uncertain if I should attempt to fix it myself or do an insurance claim. I've been trying to research
on how to fix it but I'm the type of person that needs instructions down to the most minute detail and the fact that the car is a "special" color doesn't help with finding touch up. Any suggestions on what I should do or how I can fix it myself if someone recommends I go that route would be appreciated! |

That doesn't look like something to be done with touch up paint.....

I would get a quote from a shop and go from there.

Totaled!!
(Totaled as per tradition on here that is) Yeah just take it to a body shop for a quote. It may or may not be cheaper then your deductible. |

Probably be around 300 since they'd have to blend into another panel if you went to a body shop ,go to one that says they blend their own paint btw. (I work at one. Just remembered I have a rate sheet we just came up with and we're pretty cheap compared to others in labor rate. Good luck!!

I wouldn't consider it a special color, might be easier to match considering it doesn't have any metallics.

Quote:
1) use touch up and forget about it or 2) take to shop in case they also deformed metal/plastic. p.s. you are looking at $250-350

Thats down to the bare metal. That'll have to be taken apart, sanded buffed, sanded painted, buffed and clear coated again.
