Before I hated the power band in the mid range and found myself having to stay over 4500 RPM for any power but now I can short shift and find power anywhere in the RPM range. The best part is they did something magical because my car has NO DRONE. Keep in mind this is with a stock exhaust be t even then, the first front pipe version I test drove had a slight drone between 2000-2800 RPM but with Holley's final version 2 w/ the sound chamber, it is non existent.

Also, this is all stock tune guys!!!!!

So they are making both catted and uncatted uel and el headers? $900 will give other competitors a run for there money for a catted uel. Ft86sf has there's currently for $970, JDL has theres for $849.00, and now this one will probably be $800-$900. Thats quite good.

Yes, they are making a close to equal length catted design and an UEL no catted header. From my understanding but I have to verify, they are going to try to target the catted header under $900.

I'd bet Holley can undercut a lot of the smaller, more boutique parts manufacturers just because of economies of scale. It is not a surprise to me they can spin this up so quickly given their huge name in aftermarket exhaust for domestics (Hooker headers). There is more that goes into the FR-S headers, but looking at these Camaro V6 units I have high hopes for the pricing:

If they come in at 900, they won't sell many IMO.

They need to be at like the 6-700 range and perform as well as JDL / Tomei. Then they'd have a winner.

Hey Guys,

I'll be getting my car back today, unfortunately all stock. All the prototype parts will be removed and as soon as they run 1st production, I will have to bring my car back for their 1st article production fit check and all the parts will stay on my car .

Also, as I spoke with the engineer in charge of the platform, Holley is very interested in this platform and community so they actually purchased their own vehicle, LOL, its red like mine. From what I understand, they are going to supercharge the Holley FR-S to verify that their products also work well with a supercharger so those who have one, they want to ensure their products exceed customer demand, moreover, can back up performance with data, having both dyno data for N/A cars and supercharged cars.

It has been an honor to loan my vehicle to them, plus, it doesn't hurt that I will be getting all the parts at no charge in exchange for letting them use my car.

So that mean this platform can see a supercharger from them? Thanks for letting your car

They're so interested in this platform and the community, but they haven't come on the forums yet. Comon!

Probably lurking for now. I don't really blame them if they don't ever post. So many manufacturers are bombarded with nonsense and stuff from the know-it-alls, site mods, and people who demand immediate dyno sheets (from a variety of dynos), full product explanations complete with trade secrets, videos, and quarter mile slips backing every component they sell, lol

As mentioned by others above, I'm hoping that with Hooker's economy of size/volume, and the fact that they've been in the business longer than anyone else, they'll be able to undercut other catted header offerings. I doubt it'd be by hundreds of dollars, but if enough, and in conjunction with, say, ceramic coating, it'd be a pretty appealing option.

They actually took it one step further and invited everyone on this forum to do a cars and coffee followed by a Holley Factory Tour to discuss the platform so everyone is in direct contact with the engineer in charge of the platform.

You don't stay in business by undercutting everyone else.

Look at Uber; they've been operating at a loss for how long now?
