Hi everybody,
I have a general newby question to all the owners of frs/brz I'm planing to get one, but still not sure frs/brz or wrx ? Lease price comes almost the same maybe wrx is little bit exp., but that is not the case. Some points to consider: I owned bmw 3 series long time, love that car, and I liked the size-small , compact , sporty. I don't need space inside the car and I love the size and the look of frs/brz I like fast cars, i'm not gonna race but when u know that u have some power and once in a while u can use that- it is great( I mean more quick, not like 400 hp) Now, I'm in Canada, and 4 wheel drive is the only reason for me to consider wrx , also as much as I understand reading the forums, there are way more upgrades/ mods for wrx I can consider and also the engine is new on WRX. the problem is that I dont want/need that big 4 doors and from the other side I don't really like flat non turbo on frs/brz ... I'm also considering to spend ~2k after a month or two on mods (wheels, exhaust , nothing crazy ) Maybe the last point : frs/brz - I like the front grill of frs but hate that you can't get automatic climate inside like the one in brz sport model. So... your thoughts? I'm sorry if I'm getting repeated here, I read the forums, but still... want to hear what you got to say. Thank you! |

Welcome. The only thing I can say is that most of the things you are referring to is your personal preference for options on a car. If you feel you need the awd for the winter then get a wrx. But as for being fast or (having the power when needed)these aren't the cars for that. Your not just gonna press the gas and be doing 100 in a flash. Good luck on the decision

I also live in Canada and imo if you're looking for a stable ride especially during winter condition you're better off looking elsewhere. This car is fun to drive in dry wet and snowy conditions but after driving this car in the snow storm we had last night WITH the winters on (and trust me you NEED winters on this car otherwise you're gonna end up like bunch of frs/brz that got stuck last night all over GTA) I would never take it on the highway given same weather condition. It fishtails pretty easily and because the car is so light, the car is pushed side to side by the pile of snow that from between the lanes and etc. I didn't quite understand what other owners meant when they said they drove sideways everywhere but I do now. Now that I've said the ugly part of driving it in the winter, the good part is the car is pretty predictable and it pretty much tells you if ur approaching the limit of its grip almost telepathically. So assuming you won't drive this car like an idiot you'd be safe. And if you're looking for more power you're also looking at the wrong car. That's my $0.02.

Thanks! They actually have quite a few in inventory, however I'm probably the pickiest person around when it comes to buying cars. They have a few AT's in stock, but it HAS to be MT. Then they told me there would be a couple MT's coming around march or so. But none of them are white. They had a halo MT on the lot, but it wasn't brand new. So the only thing that I could do was order one. I just have to be patient </3
