Just do what I do when I have my 2 hour each way commute on a major highway. Leave at 5am or so and go home at 2pm. I never have traffic or idiot issues. Now those hours may not work for your job but tell them that is what you want to do.

I have a roughly 30min commute, leave at 6:30am. Leave work at 3:30pm. Sometimes I get idiots. Oh and I get to see my best friend some days when driving to work! (my best friend is this shitty ass civic who thinks he hot shit and I also posted a picture of his civic and said look at this peice of shit He gave me death threats over the picture because he was butthurt that I called his car a riced out p.o.s. It's a baby blue civic, looks like he spray painted himself, with a gaud awful body kit, and one of those cans for an exhaust. It's just bad. )

HA. good one. We haven't had sunny weather in awhile now, been really cloudy, cold (for CA that is), and raining. We have already gotten more snow is season than we did of all last year, and lake tahoe has gone back up I believe like 3-5 inches which is 30million gallons of water.

Today has been the warmest day since november. 55 degrees. We've had typical temps of low 30s to low 40s mostly. This is not at all typical CA weather. Also, we still have a long way to go before this drought is over. I think they said that it would have to rain like this all of 2016 in order to subdue most of the drought problem.

We have the reverse. We are into January and have zero snow on the ground when we usually have a couple of feet by now. Days below zero have been very rare and the ground has not frozen yet. The lakes haven't even got a hint of ice on them and they should be almost frozen over by now. All in all we may be screwed come spring since all the moisture that we have had has already run off and is not stockpiling on the frozen ground to replenish the system all at once like it usually does.
