Argento dreams

Hello all, my name is Jay and just recently (kinda) picked up an 86 . I have been making decent progress so I've decided to share it with you all.
I have been into cars forever and had a "stanced" civic at first (not a ricer) and then a 98 GS300. I loved the GS and wanted to enter the VIP scene, but there was something missing about it. I figured out what it was and it was that it was not a six speed RWD coupe

Overall goal of the car is to have a track inspired setup and just drive the car the way it was intended.
Ideal setup is decent set of coils and RPF1 with some decent meat. Also love TC105n.

The day I got her 11/4/15

Car was missing the drivers sidemarker, but it did have TRD intake and TRD exhaust already installed so that kinda made up for it. I couldn't stand seeing the sidemarker missing so that was the first thing I did.

The TRD exhaust produced a great note at WOT and quiet in the low RPMs, but I wanted something more. Did some research and went with Invidia catless front pipe. Thanks to my buddy @BRZach for helping, close buddy who also owns an 86.

At first I wasn't impressed because it wasn't much louder, but after standing outside and having my buddy do drive-bys it turned into a 11/10 mod. I could not stop smiling. It is not much louder inside the cabin, but definitely more aggressive and louder on the outside.

I also really like the way red out tails look, so I bought a second set just in case I ever wanted to go back to the OEM clear tails.

Ended up liking the red out tails way more than expected.

Still contemplating which coils to purchase, but I think I have an idea. Spent the last few days with @BRZach and trying to get his car back in order

It is awesome that my bestfriend and I have the same car, I think he has a build thread floating around somewhere on here if anyone is interested. #86boyz

Hopefully the next time I update this thread it will be me saying I purchased coils and a bunch of other small things that I've been contemplating.

Sorry! Fixed now, not sure why the one sidemarker image is sideways? Using dropbox to host, so new to this.

I was worried about the same thing, especially non-resonated FP, but I went ahead and did it and am not disappointed one bit. Not to mention the car drives much better and pulls smoother where the torque dip is.

Updates

So it has been a while since I've updated, but while I was gone I did purchase BC coilovers (finally). Here is a pic of the first night with them on, also threw on my buddy's rotiforms for shits and giggles.

Wasn't feeling the wheels much (not my style), and height was still high for my liking. Adjusted the rears to my liking, fronts I could not adjust because I am already on 3 studs left front driver. When I was going to undo the last lug it got tighter each turn, so if broke that one I would have been left with two studs (uncool).

Eventually I'll get around to changing out the studs, I also have to do the rear passenger because I broke two trying to take rear wheels off to adjust height.
Satisfied with how rears sit, but I would like to go a tad bit lower on front then put a lip on.

Have been pretty content with how car sits and told myself that would be it for a while as far as major parts purchases go. Next big purchase is either wheels or OFT, but for now small little purchases as I have other hobbies to fund. Always wanted fourth fog light so I ordered parts to make my own kit/harness.
