Funny story!

When I had a G35 S coupe my fiance took me to a spot in Atlanta called Andretti Karts. It was my first experience with race Karts. I fell in love with the FEEL of the damn things, and I told my fiance I want to buy a car that FEELS like this kart with a low CoG, lively steering, great braking, tossably light, and oversteer-y/neutral handling. I went to test drive the 86 and the guy said I can go by myself. I came back 35 minutes with an adrenaline rush because the car felt exactly like a bigger version to those karts. This was when driving FEEL became way more important than just POWER to me. Got rid of the G35 coupe and never looked back.

I liken it to Goldilock's principles:

Just the right weight vs power
Just the right size not too long or wide
Just the right look not too showy but carries itself well

Oh, I can go on and on... Happy New Year to you all.

The slope of the roof is what gets me. It's got a nice shape to it

Right? Great story! If these cars had tails they'd start wagging whenever we jiggle the keys.

Is there any awkward angles on the car? It's a nicely proportioned shape and I enjoy it lots..

For the past week, I've just been going out in the car and having fun drives. Not going fast, not hooning it around. Just nice fun drives. It's amazing. Constantly looking for an excuse to take it out.

To make something look good from 1 angle is easy. To make it look good from every angle is a masterpiece!

I came from a 350Z and the difference is huge. It just feels more grounded, more tossable, without worrying about loosing control. The Z felt like a tank in comparison. Also what I like is its like a PC - you can upgrade parts until your heart's content. And the part list keeps growing!

Last there's the community. Nice people, who also know how not to rice out their rides . Different ages, different cultures, all having fun with their toys.

Whew. Thought you said "you look 'front wheel drive' to driving it" (j/k fwd lovers).
I'll add that the gearbox is fun enough that I like down shifting just for kicks and with the right changes, it sounds great when banshee-howling to the redline.

Plus it has one of the nicest rear ends in the business.

Nope not one. It looks good from every angle. It's just the long slope from the roof to the trunk makes me giddy. Really gives it that sports car silhouette

Mine growls when I wake it up... Takes about 5 minutes for it to say "fine, lets go have some fun today"

I'm really glad I'm not the only one. Since getting my car, I've been driving around randomly with no point as well. I just love driving this car so much and it's almost like an addiction. Too bad the next week over here is going to rain non stop.

Got mine when the first batch became available. It's stil as much fun to drive now as when I first got it and I have yet to come across another car that looks as good from what ever angle I'm looking at it from!
