no ETA yet. Week ago they said that I would take delivery within two weeks, it was released on Friday. I don't believe it should take more the 5 days by rail, but don't know for sure. An additional 2 days for PDI the car should be in very shortly if they expect to meet the 2 week timeline. I'll let you know if I find out anything from Ashley, I live very close to the dealership, I might pop by there tomorrow.

Just got the call, looks like another 2 - 3 weeks! That's frustrating. I'm tempted to go test drive the STI again, it was my first choice to begin with. But, don't want to miss out on the fun that the FRS offers. Maybe I'll call around and see if I can get lucky at another dealership. I hate waiting.

Dude, that is awesome. I can't wait to get mine. Still hoping for this week, but I haven't even gotten my VIN yet.

Its not the strikes, its the unions that have the power to debilitate our country's economy with little if no consequence. I think the rail strike is just a convenient excuse, otherwise if this was the reason Scion Canada would have been pro-active about this and released an official statement to their customers. In business these days its important to deflect blame in order to maintain your reputation. If indeed it was the rail strike they would have a fabulous excuse to use. They have not said anything, smells like a cover-up to me. They messed up and don't want their reputation to suffer. In my opinion the silence is worst because it allows everyone to think what they want. Never owned a Toyota but, when I purchased a vehicle from Acura they where pro-active about their communication. My car was delayed by a month so they arranged for a loner vehicle until mine came in. We'll have to see what the service is after the fact but thus far, I would really think long and hard before buying another Toyota. My experiences with Honda, GM, Acura and BMW have been much better. Although the Acura was the only other first release vehicle I bought, the others had already been in production. |

I bought my Acura and had to wait for 30 days to take delivery, initially they said within one week. Week went by they didn't have my vehicle, they actually gave me a brand new Integra as a loaner vehicle until mine came in. That is awesome service. Anytime you go into the dealership, even if its a quick oil change, they wash the car for you. I've gone in before for tire rotation, they washed the car. |
