Adding 10mm more than the front is more understeer.
Sure, agreed but I think it very uncommon for people to use different brands of tyres on the same vehicle. I am suggesting a 225 in a given diameter and aspect ratio AD08 is wider than a 215 AD08 of the same diameter and a/r. Last edited by Captain Snooze; 06-08-2012 at 06:21 PM. Reason: spelling |

I have read 2 different reviews that state the car pulls 0.91g and 0.93g on those shitty Prius tyres. Now, if it has that sort of cornering ability on ordinary tyres I think upgrading the tyre model at the same size will be more than enough for me. The car is not over powered; too much grip will detract from enjoyment to be had.
Once again, with inflation,just my 8 & 3/4 cents worth. |

With due respect, why complicate matters. Why not just keep the front/rear tyre widths the same regardless of width? Suspension design is a huge can of worms. Why would you deliberately make work for your self?

however i can see why some people want to "upgrade" their car, maybe due to look (the car is screaming to get lowered also stock wheels have weak offset) or performance reasons. personally i would do sussy and wheels/tyres at the same time because the car still looks like a SUV with better wheels but not lowered. so my pick of wheel/tyre size would be considered together with sussy. |

Nuance and subtly are difficult to get across in forums. I was was being a little sarcastic when I said that. But the gist I was trying to get across is if the car performs this well on those tyres imagine what it could do on sticky rubber.

Good ol' Toyota Australia marketing again. GT owners don't brake as hard/often as GTS owners? |

![]() If you are going to do a brake upgrade. Sell a kidney on the black market and get the trd brake kit I really want red calipers. Not painting them though... Upgrade down the track once sc or turbo is bolted on. |
