I believe it was personal choice, she started a family and seems quite happy.

Excellent cameo in Shaun of the Dead though, hope she pops up in future work.

Edit read her wiki, she's doing a ton of stuff we just don't see it as its all BBC work along with books and stage shows that will almost never be worth exporting, go figure.
