I think somewhere along the line, "should of" became confused with the contraction "should've."

I think it's because they sound the same. It's terrible grammar nonetheless lol

I recently upgraded the headunit in MomHawk's '05 Mustang. In the process of that I lost one of the M6x19mm bolts that holds the bracket in. No big deal, radio fits fine and is held by the other 3, I figure I'll replace it later.
Driving by the Ford dealer yesterday, I dropped in and asked how much one was. PartsDude types on the computer for a sec, and says "That can't be right" types some more. He looks up and says...

"You aren't going to believe this but they are $15.95 each, and you can only buy them in a set of 10." He spins the monitor around to show me then says " I'm going to guess you don't want them."

We both just looked blankly at each other a second...laughed and I said "Thanks" and left.

Not that much money, but I ordered what I thought were 12 "hurricane" nuts for mounting 2 loudspeakers in a cabinet. I got 12 bags of 100 nuts each. Never in my entire life will I ever use them all.

Did you try your friendly local Big Box hardware store? You also could try online.

Ha. Fords.

My mother has a 05 gt its her pride and joy. When she wanted me to look at the car because "it was shaking when it braked" I told her she needed new rotors. I went to go pick them up like the good son I am but when I went to install them I noticed that one of her lug nuts was completely rounded off from improper torqueing and using the wrong wrench etc. (first time ive needed to take off her wheels) no matter back to the auto store and got her a new one and replaced the stripped one.
Anyways not the moral of the story.
When I was down in the wheel well I noticed that on her strut that she had duct tape on it and I wondered why. Apparently one of her tabs on her strut was broken and when Ford did their "inspection" before they sold it to her it mustve been either put there by them or just looked over but damn I though it was dumb. I said out loud at that moment "ford. Duct tape doesnt fuckin cut it." She laughed. I Laughed. I then put the duct tape back and told her that the tab doesnt go to anything.

With that being said I can't talk too much shit about fords... My family has owned nothing but ford and my GF owns a Ford.

Dad: explorer, expedition, taurus, 04 mustang, f150, and now a brand new fusion.

Mom: 5 different mustangs (including her current one), and a focus. Her newest husband also currently owns a 2012 mustang v6 and a f250 super duty.

Not to mention my GF owns a 1966 ford bronco.

Then theres me..... with my preivious Nissan and subaru... and current toyota/subaru.
