I dunno. Everybody go ahead and pile on me.
I drive an automatic and it seems I know how to drive better than some people who say this car needs more power. (Keep bringing that up because some manual guys say AT drivers are lazy and dumb).

It was my first spirited drive (3 weeks after I bought the car) in Mt. Rainer where I learned what "keeping it in the powerband" and "where the powerband" is. Was wondering why my buddy was keeping up with the Porsches and Vettes while I was about a minute behind.

That was actually painful to type.
I figure 300hp is about right for a DD.

As long as they don't follow that up by reviving the thread to say "me too" then that is cool.
At least somebody goes back and reads that old stuff.

Thanks for the confidence. Ive been considering mid next year after I travel with my family to purchase a supercharger for my daily. Little nervous because I drive 19 miles one way to work. Plus I drive home 400 miles one way one or two times a month.

At least somebody goes back and reads that old stuff.
It is also a post that was only relevant in 2012.

I've got some old, hard-core tech posts on BMEP, intake charge velocity, supporting diagrams on MacStrut camber curves, but noooo, this guy thanks a post of a pic of a magazine dyno test of catbacks from the days before flash tuning, ffs...

I had a guy on a old forum message me to buy a Tamiya 4wd race track that I posted easily 3 years before he messaged me. Said he googled a track, and the forum popped up. He didnt even own the car that the forum was originally made for. He made a screen name just to buy it for his kids.

Yours was the closest to putting me over the top. I thought hard about it for a good few months. Not joking.

It was pics of the dyno numbers. And not even graphs. Just columns of numbers.

Amazing really to see the collective knowledge expansion over the years. So thanks, random thanking guy. I guess.

But also the growth of ...questionably informed individuals.

Several years ago (text only that is how far back), on a DSM forum I frequented I had a guy ask about some coil overs that I had offered for sale 4 years prior. The thread was clearly marked as sold and closed but was still there. This dude freaked all over me when I told him they were sold and pointed out that it said so very clearly in the thread. He was gonna sue me for false advertising and was just over the top irate and irrational. Then he started in on the Mods for not deleting it and crap so they banned him. He came back with new accounts 3 times just to carry on about those damned coil overs that I sold for about $50 under retail four years before he read the post.
