Chill out here dude the guys happy with his new car this isn't a thread to disagree with his criticisms. It's a thread to congratulate and welcome him.

First car, obviously for transportation.

You can chill out too. A big reason why people say this car is underpowered is because other people say it's underpowered. That's not really the reality of it.
It's only underpowered when there is a comparison.

Welcome! I assume most yours in your area are long and straight, hence the displays the impression of its power output.

It's my first car too and I use it more for pleasure than for transportation. When I had my motorcycle I used that more for transportation than my car.

You're just full of assumptions today aren't you?

Or does it actually make your blood boil that someone said an inanimate object doesn't have enough power? Because if that's the case, what a petty thing to get offended/bothered about.

I bet you'll cringe at this: the car is slow, should have got a genny/st/gti, shoulda came with a turbo, shoulda had an extra .5 litres, shoulda been awd etc. Etc.

Get over yourself, dude.

This car is not underpowered, especially for a first car. If I was able to get in trouble with a car with less than half the power, then 200hp in a 2700lb car is more than a lot. There's no shortage of wrecked twins.

Haha, In Ontario I can easily get a "stunt driving" charge with a smart car on a residential or industrial road. Roadside impound plus a driving suspension (before conviction)

It's easy to get in trouble. I can get a ticket on a bicycle in the city...

Power and trouble are not necessarily synonymous.

I'm not offended at all....

You need to calm down. I merely pointed out common sense and philosophy and it clearly went over your head.

I think you're the one who is offended.

I don't have FI n my car, clearly I don't car about the "lack of power."

I love every aspect of this car! I chose it over a mustang just because mustangs are too generic, you see a mustang everyday and not many BRZs. Everywhere I go I always have people looking at it and coming up to talk to me about the car and how I like it and some even take pictures with it haha! Of course you always get the guys that want to race you but I pay very little attention to them. I just wanted to share my experience with the community and show how grateful I am to be a BRZ owner and be part of this awesome community!
What are you comparing the car to when you say "the power isn't there"?

Well I've driven a BMW M4 and loved it handling and power was great, but I still find the BRZ to be a more fun car, but I might be biased since I own one haha

I agree completely. I think people forget that this isn't a drag racing car. It was never meant to be a car that put down the best 1/4 mile times. It was never meant to have the best 0 to 60 times. This car was and is meant to be a drivers car. It's meant to make you interact with the road and the conditions. This car is meant to be slung around the curves of the twisty road you can find and leave you smiling.

I haven't driven my BRZ a whole lot yet, but when I have I ALWAYS got out with a smile on my face. My BRZ will be my daily driver, and it will be a fun car for that. I can't wait to get this thing on some mountain roads and really have fun.

We don't have many mountains here in Florida haha, but you don't think atleast 250-300 hp would be a bit better?
