Does it have to be soldered? Or can I just use a wire nut?

Does it matter which end of resistor the diode goes
Ie. Pin 5 - resistor - diode - pin 1
Or pin 5 - diode - resistor - pin 1

Is there a specific reason why you need a 10 watt resistor? Would something like a 6 ohm 50 watt resistor work as well?

How about for the few of us that installed the Monogram/10 series lights on a base FRS. Right now the LED strips come on at full brightness with the corners and stay on at full brightness with the headlights. Need to tone these bad boys down for night time.

Hey guys had a question. I have the same problem as STV3. The car is currently wired the way I want it, but I just want to lower the brightness on the LED strip. I'm assuming I just wire a resistor somehow somewhere between the connector of the car (Wire that corresponds to parking brake/headlight on the base FRS its the unused wire) and the connector of the headlights (Wire that corresponds to the LED) correct? If so what would be the best way to do this being able to revert back?

If I wanted to use a rheostat to adjust the resistance vs a resistor, what characteristics would I need for it? And to confirm wiring, all I need to do is connect one end to the #1 brown looking wire with blue grommet on bottom and the other into #5 red wire with brown grommet on top (harness pic on the first post)?

i use 50ohm 10W resistor to tone down my 2013 base FRS with Monogram/10 series LED light strip, i use the original "flasher wire" that already build into my car and put the resistor in serious, and i never get flash from the in coming traffic, but i'm waiting for the tech stream OBDII to USB cable coming next week, and hopefully i can fix it via software and remove the resistor, as of now, i have no DRL (regardless of handbrake position), and LED strip is on with the same dim down output for both parking light (1 tick), main HID (2 tick) and high beam.

Was wondering if anyone has theirs at 100% brightness. Currently have 100ohm resistor but I'm wanting it at full brightness like when just driving with DRL's on. If anyone has any idea how to achieve full brightness would be greatly appreciated.
