I know it's Wikipedia, but it's in there.

Doesn't matter how. They did recover.

As far as the French surrender goes that is shrouded in myth as well.
They had one of the strongest armies in the world at the time. They were well trained and well equipped and could have put up a hell of a fight. What they also were though was in the wrong place. The Germans came in around behind them through Belgium so fast they didn't stand a chance. Contrary to popular lore they didn't see them coming throw down their weapons and run.

Want to buy a French rifle? Only been dropped once.

Why are French suits cut so tight? So that you can't raise your arms above your head

Oh and they "lost" about 5% of the country (an important 5% but only a tiny piece all the same). They did however pick up and move all their factories as the lost the territory so even without the supply issues the Germans were in danger.

No I imagine who could tried to fight but common, this is Germany. No one had anything to fight the panzers and they had a plan. There was no way to stop them

I don't know, but based on the direction this thread went in our WW2 discussion seems somehow appropriate.

Well if you go back far enough they used handbrakes to steer. Although with how top heavy they were rolling back on a steep incline would be the very least of your worries.
