500 down, 400... yes 400 trade in (it was mercy on their part).
After clear bra, rim warranty, ding and dent warranty, and 5 year 75k mile extended I was at 28.8xx. |

Price in Canada (Vancouver)
Right now I have a 2007 Toyota Tundra (significantly faster than the FR-S, but has much more body roll in the corners heh).
I'm trading this in on the FR-S - they've given me $18 000.00 for it, against the purchase price of $27 610.00 - with a balance of $9,610.00. Plus freight, delivery, pdi, etc - it ends up being a $80.00 bi-weekly payment, total ~30 000.00 (CAD) |

A 98 honda civic dx 3 door with......
body damage broken passenger mirror faulty hatch handle broken hood release busted inner driver tie rod valve cover gasket and *drumroll* Oil in the radiator from most likely a head gasket I bought it used 2 years prior for $2400 cash. I just needed a vehicle i could park on the city streets and didn't care a lick about. 40,000 miles later the twins arrived and I moved to the suburbs. Goodbye beater, hello sexy. Seeing my last car and how I didn't care about it makes my girlfriend laugh that I carry cleaning wipes in my car (to clean off the bird droppings without having to give it a full wash). |

I think their best rates were for 720+, so excellent, maybe? I had no idea going into the dealer what my credit score was--I just knew I was pre-approved by my credit union for an auto loan up to $50,000 @ 2.99%, so I was gonna be okay either way. Their finance guy just wanted to beat it and he did.

Every time I hear about someone having a good warrenty.
Tommy: Let's think about this for a sec, Ted. Why would somebody put a guarantee on a box? Hmmm, very interesting. Ted Nelson, Customer: Go on, I'm listening. Tommy: Here's the way I see it, Ted. Guy puts a fancy guarantee on a box 'cause he wants you to feel all warm and toasty inside. Ted Nelson, Customer: Yeah, makes a man feel good. Tommy: 'Course it does. Why shouldn't it? Ya figure you put that little box under your pillow at night, the Guarantee Fairy might come by and leave a quarter, am I right, Ted? [chuckles until he sees that Ted is not laughing] Ted Nelson, Customer: [impatiently] What's your point? Tommy: The point is, how do you know the fairy isn't a crazy glue sniffer? "Building model airplanes" says the little fairy; well, we're not buying it. He sneaks into your house once, that's all it takes. The next thing you know, there's money missing off the dresser, and your daughter's knocked up. I seen it a hundred times. Ted Nelson, Customer: But why do they put a guarantee on the box? Tommy: Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of shit. That's all it is, isn't it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for now, for your customer's sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality product from me. Ted Nelson, Customer: [pause] Okay, I'll buy from you. Tommy: Well, that's... Tommy, Richard Hayden: ...What? |

Simply go and see what they offer, do it 2-3 times until you've found your lowest rate. Also, be aware that just because Scion offers a low rate and you qualify, doesn't mean they will give it to you if they can trick you out of it. Let's say they ask what the best rate you've found so far is and you tell them 3.0 or higher. They will then run their check and say "guess what, we got you in at 2.9" or "2.8" while not mentioning you actually qualified for the 1.9 If you think this might be happening just tell them you want to know if you qualified for the lowest rate or not, yes or no, don't give me a number, yes or no. |
