I don't think there is much mystery here and it should be checked soon. Don't mess with steering issues.

OP, maybe you should take it into a dealership, rather than the body shop, to have it checked out .....

I would love to take it to a dealership but seeing as the closest subie dealer is 2hrs+ away in dallas I can't just drive over there and the car is now in the body shop and they said they will take it there for me as they dont do the mechanical themselves
