There are many wingless trunks in the US. Import a used one from there, or order a new one from Japan. Issue is that there were not wingless trunk trims in Europe. At least I am not aware of any. If you want to go lightweight, there are also carbon trunks. Check here an example. It looks to fit well:

Of course, as already mentioned the cheaper solution is to cover the holes with another spoiler.
Yep, that's the problem.
I think there is a new version, carbon edition or something that is wingless out there.

Sadly most carbon parts are heavier than OEM.

Do you know a lightweight trunk ?
Seibon trunk is slightly lighter because it's wingless.

I didn't realize you didn't have a spoilerless option in Europe. That would have sucked.

When I bought the car I told the dealer that I'm only buying it without that spoiler. So, he removed the spoiler, welded the 4 holes and repainted it for a reasonable surcharge.

Seibon has a carbon trunk with a mild ducktail and is available in Europe. http://seiboncarbon.com/store/produc...ubaru-brz.html (A ducktail does reduce rear lift at high speeds according to Hucho http://www.amazon.com/Hucho-Aerodyna.../dp/3834819190)
Otherwise there are also trunk options from Japanparts: https://www.japanparts.com/parts/lis...runk&x=22&y=13
(Japanparts usually offers cheaper shipping options than US vendors do.)

I've been driving an '06 Exige the last two days, and I have to admit I'm both sad and happy to agree with you on all the points the 86 is actually superior.

Still want one though.

The new GT86 in the UK comes spoilerless unless you request a spoiler fitted.

I think the TRD spoiler should be the type of design provided as standard

Yes. Non fake stuff should always be the base option.

Yes, that's the ultimate weapon for landscape. Dunno if the AF improved with the last Sony bodies.
