Wouldn't go with the challenger if it is ONLY between those two, lol. For that money there are much better cars. Pick up a used c6 or something worthwhile. If you are prepared to drop 40k + why the tunnel vision? |

I just had to bump this up again. It's just so true. I think the retro muscle Challenger cars are cool and all but they are just too friggin big and heavy for me. Honestly, there are so many other cars I would own before this one.

Buy a Boss 302 for 35k. Then you'll have a car that handles great with a high revving v8. What more could you want?

Definately get a ZL1 camaro. Better than the boss 302. and it's not a mustang.

Pass. The Zl1 is nice, but weighs over 400lbs more. Besides, I like being able to see out of my car.

My uncle has the 15 challenger rt with the super track pack. It still drives like a numb barge. He has also already had to have it worked on for electronics failures and other electrical issues. It is very comfortable, but prepare for a FI 86 or most anything with power to still pull on you, as I could just barely pull on my uncle when I had a fully bolted NA e85 86. I know you said you're not interested in a mustang or camaro, but they will handle very well when properly equipped. The mustang feels a little floaty until you tack On the performance pack, and I swear it feels very much like the 86 in the handling department when pushed hard, and I bet the camaro will feel great too. The mustang with the 3.73's has the same speed in gear that an 86 does almost, so you can still row the gears when you want. If all you want is style then sure the Challenger looks fantastic, but the other muscle cars are honestly better in every way other than seat space (I can still fit a 6'0 and 5'2" person in my Mustang comfortably). If you are set on the Challenger I think would enjoy it though, just be prepared for electrical issues.

Having come out of a pony car (not no v6) I can tell you they are fun in a straight line. The FRS is fun everywhere else. Pony is loud pissy and violent. FRS is quiet agile and quick. I love the new mustang and would never consider getting one with a v6. But the mpg sucks lol

I was actually going to buy a scat before the BRZ and ended up going to the BRZ when I hit a trailer with my srt4 and my down payment went with it. Granted my dad works for FCA so I could get a fully loaded scat pack for 38.5k out the door

yep
I know I even put the 10k down since I was still doing tech school for the Air Force and was gonna pick it up when I went home. They let me have all my money back which was awesome and sometimes I wish I still was able to get it but I still love my twin and I have two cars. One for handling and one for speed
