The reason that mine is lightly modded is very simple. I am an attention whore (not breast fed as a baby or something). I love being able to say "ya, it is almost stock but..." when people ask. I think this self honesty is what is missing with some drivers and they have to come up with all sorts of internal justification as to why they want to mod. My light mods in no way adversely affect the daily drive-ability and they make me happy. Since they were dealer installed they do not impact my warranty and were well within the price range I could easily afford. I have driven stock ones and to be very blunt I like mine far better. If I had to leave that stock exhaust on it and could not do my small drop I doubt I would have bought it. That is just me though and I appreciate that does not apply across the board for everybody. Do some get carried away? Most certainly, (I still have no idea why people want 300hp in a street driven car of this type) but the car was marketed as a "blank canvas" to upgrade or change as the owners want and that is all they are doing.

We need more Steves in the car world that are open in saying "I don't know. Please teach me" without debating everything put forward to them.

Speaking of memory, I've been an FTE and working night shift for 6 months now! Today also marks my 1 year at the job. Where has the time gone?

There is a Japanese novel that shares this title. It might be "Norway Wood', but it is a reference to the Beatles song. Anyways since Japanese novels can be as much if a clusterfuck as any other media they do, the plot was ...interesting. Rough synopsis guy's best buddy is dating a chick that can't get wet for him. Buddy kills himself, guy bangs the girl who goes nympho on him. Girl ends up going crazy. Guy meets another chick. Boring Japanese university stuff in the 60s happens. Guy goes to visit crazy girl in an institution. Meets her and an old woman. End up playing Norwegian Wood and talking about American music. Guy goes back to university. Crazy girl kills herself. Old woman comes to guy's home. He bangs her, emphasis on not having to pull out. The end. (The details might be a touch off, but the gist of it is solid.) Yay Japan! On another note, I'm kinda jammin' for a bannin' on another non-car forum. Good times!

So Tcoat, what's it like to be banned?
We'll see how it goes for me, but I royally pissed off the Admin, a Mod, and popular forum sponsor there for criticizing the forum sponsor. Technically no rules violation, but I took exception to the tone of the Admin's PM and demonstrated how I was 100% correct in my statement. In my usual... Er... Insufferable arrogant tone. Sooo? Hellfire and brimstone? Eternal, impenetrable grey fog? Tropical island, talking to a volleyball?
