I love the style, just wish it were a little narrower. It looks just a hair oversized for the width of the rear of the car, IMO. Cf wrap the center doh

My brand spanking new (9 miles on the clock) 2016 Limited. The first two I did Friday night. Strut brace and master cylinder brace from GrimmSpeed. I did side indicators Saturday night.
I've also de-badged her as well. I hate chrome on blue....

so I put in the door stabilizers last night. holy shit! they really do stiffen the car up. it was immediately noticeable just pulling out of the driveway.

I highly recommend these. the difference between the overall stiffness of the car before and after and as large as the difference between my GS430 and BRZ. just wow.

"ACETOTHEARMUS,"What kind of side markers did you use, and where is a good place to buy them?

WHAT does the master cylinder brace do?

Did you notice any change with the aftermarket front tower brace?

Thanks!

The benefit is only felt on the track, and even there it's limited. During extremely heavy braking, the master cylinder deflects out and up, away from the firewall. The brace prevents that movement and holds the master cylinder in place. The brake feel is a little firmer and more predictable with the brace installed.

Edit: I have one installed, but I can't say whether I notice a difference. I installed it at the same time I installed stainless brake lines and Hawk HP+ pads, so I can't attribute the change to any particular mod.

I installed a Grimmspeed master cylinder brace and it was significantly more noticeable than the stainless lines that I installed a week or two later. I put a good amount of preload on the master cylinder brace and it was clear even in street driving that the pedal was firmer.

Of course, YMMV. I'm really sensitive to those kinds of changes, you may not even notice.

^This.

I noticed a significant change in the way the pedal feels. The travel seems to be less, the brakes feel like they are gripping just a tad sooner, and the pedal just seems "planted" where before it was firm...but kind of mushy at the same time.

The strut bar is more about cornering and steering sharpness. I haven't done a ton of driving since I put it in...but to the 'ol butt dyno, the steering feels more confident if that makes sense. And the steering wasn't crap to begin with either...

I used the Valenti clear chrome markers. They are LED so I didn't have to get an amber bulb. Everyone here on the forum seems to like them, I thought they looked good. They weren't the cheapest option, but that wasn't my concern.

However be aware that the QA isn't the greatest. I had to re-solder the connector wires back on because of a really bad manufacturer soldering job. It was a fix minute fix, but very annoying since I would have preferred to have a proper item. But since I would have to ship it back to Japan and wait for them to ship me a replacement and possibly have that one messed up too...I just fixed it myself.
