Decided to try E-85 in my FR-S. I have a Unichip so it isn't hard to change to a more appropriate map for ethanol. Let me tell you, that stuff is ADDICTIVE! So much more power and torque than with gasoline. Guess Baby is now an alcoholic. The nice part is that the station with the E-85 is on my commute route, so I pass it every day anyway.
So far no problems, including no CEL codes. After a while, I'll probably have to enter the E-85 AA program to kick the habit. Or not.

Well, it finally happened. I got nailed for going 22 mph over the speed limit this morning. Toll road 130 east of Austin. Beautiful day for a drive: clear, 65 degrees F, no rain for several days, dry road, light traffic on a limited access road with great visibility in all directions etc., so I let her run a bit. Fortunately, I had slowed down some before the cop clocked me, or he would have gotten me for 30 over.
This is the first ticket of any kind I've had in something like 35 years. The cop actually asked me if I had ever gotten a ticket before! Anyway, if I take the state driver's ed course I can get it dismissed and I get a 5% discount on my insurance, to boot.

Spent nearly 5 hours detailing the car with a buddy and his car today. Its actually fun tackling every inch of the car when working someone. Kinda like working out at the gym. :3 Sadly, having issues with the HID kit. Enjoyed it for a day and it died, well one of the balllasts/bulbs did. Going back to his place to troubleshoot or else going to have to warranty it.

My buddy and I have a tradition of eating way too many of them once a year, when they're available. They're available in a lot of markets already, but not in the DC metro for whatever reason.
