I have essentially the same shifter (spherology top) and I don't think its that much better shifting wise (imho, a lot of people who say so are full of it lol). If you take off the stock shift knob, you'd be surprised how heavy it actually is. I do like the look and the added height (~1/2" taller than stock). The exposed metal looks really nice but is uncomfortably cold to the touch (to my girly hands at least) on cold winter mornings.

But staying on topic: Scored some good deals on a setrab 619 core, -10AN fittings and a racerX sandwhich plate. Really too bad I couldn't find a deal on -10AN hoses...

Knob came in! A lot bigger than I thought. Not sure how I feel about it yet. Installed but haven't used while driving. Original shift knob was a lot heavier than I'd imagine also.
