We only went Livermore to Junction. Gravel was present in some corners, but overall it was mostly clear. I'd say it's safely clear to drive at this point!

Hopefully in 3 to 6 months the road to Mt. Hamilton will be clear of gravel so we can do more drives/meets up there.

Short notice I know, but does anybody want to do a little drive? I was thinking I haven't had a burger at the Junction in a while... drive out Mines Rd and stop there for lunch. I am thinking Saturday late morning, but if enough people prefer Sunday I could do that too...

hmmm so it looks like sunday has some interest, but keep in mind junction won't open until 11AM. Since I'm not seeing any interest for Sat, I think I will wake up and play it by ear... my car needs an oil change so maybe I'll do that instead, then see if I feel like a drive after.

Well I'm feeling like a drive today so I'm just going to hit the roads solo.

Next Saturday we have the annual ToyDRIVE at Speed Element. I hope to see you guys there. It starts at 1pm so lunch at Junction might not work out... Maybe we can plan a drive for after, or those who are up for it can plan something in the morning.

Some of you may have noticed that we did not hold an End Of Summer event this year like we did last year. My apologies for that, the summer (and fall) have kind of gotten away from me and we could not secure a venue and date near the end of the summer. So we bring you at long last, an announcement for the 86DRIVE End of Season Event, which will take place on Saturday December 12, 2015. We will be holding this event jointly with the season finale weekend of the NorCal 86CUP competition series, of which we take part in as well with our #128 86DRIVE Subaru BRZ. With the year quickly coming to a close, and many of us already planning to be there at the racetrack for this season ender, it made sense for us to team up and throw one last big celebration together. Yes, I realize that Monterey is a bit far away from the Bay Area, but on some of our more epic full days of driving we have ventured even further distances and I assure you this event will be well worth the trip. Admission to the racetrack is FREE to attend this event! For those of you who have been attending our Summer DRIVES and earning 86DRIVE STARS on your punch cards, we will have some small prizes to raffle away.

More details to come.

^^^ It would be great to see people that wouldn't otherwise make it to a track. On the same token, I would like to thank all those that had made it one or more of the 86Cup days.

86Cup participants typically arrive the Friday before for dinner, chats, last minute car adjustments, etc. The rest will arrive at Laguna Seca ~7am. Non-86Cup participants have both arrived with us that early as well as thru out the day.

Ever pictured yourself (and your 86) on Laguna Seca? I'm looking at repeating last year's MRLS event where we gathered ALL 86s in attendance for a group photo on the track. Group op at the end of the track day Saturday ~5pm.

@PMok you should definately make a separate thread so people know about this instead of having to hunt for it in this thread.
