I don't think anyone should be surprised by a 280 hp car beating a 200 hp car. Common sense.

I ain't even mad.

I am really not looking forward to all of the "races" if I end up getting a BRZ. Maybe there will be a body kit to just make it look like a tiny Camry?

Let them think you will drag them....

Then let them zoom ahead of you while you use your voice activated phone to take down their tag # and then immediately call the highway patrol. Done that several times in my driving career, and in one of those cases they got pulled over 30 minutes down the road.... Who won now punk?

OP don't worry, I am sure it is only a matter of time until some numpty in a FRS/BRZ posts about his/her super awesome exploits, where they trounced a Porsche GT3 RS 4.0 around VIR or Laguna Seca on an HPDE with the video to 'prove' it or smoked a Gen Coupe V6 down their local twisties.

Tossbags are tossbags and what they drive runs the range of marques from Alfa Romeo to Zubaru.

Yes, though one might have gone with Zonda. Zubaru works too, I suppose.

Personally, I hate SRT4s.
Pretty sure the 86 would still lose badly.

Truth is the Rav4 V6 would give the FRS a tight run down the straight. Does not make the Rav4 any more of a sports car and the FRS any less.

The "I can beat him in the twisties" excuse is pretty lame too but I am sure that is coming. Just know your place in the automotive food chain and be happy with your car. Otherwise be prepared to reach deep into your pockets.

Well I hope to catch Lance Armstrong on one of these Lamborghini on Loop 360. I am "almost" sure I can beat him at straightline and still wont get have to redline or get a ticket for speeding. I admit I like this the lamborghini shade of organe more than the Hot Lava from Scion.

This thread reminds me when the sales man at the Scion dealership was telling me that the FR-S would beat my car in a straight line I told him that he'd have better luck beating me on the track. Telling me the FR-S does 0-60 in 5 seconds (after he had test driven it). People will never stop to amaze me.

Yes, this story reminds me of the time I was driving a bright blue rented V6 2011 Mustang convertible (when I visit America, I make a point of driving American cars) near Paso Robles in a bit of a hurry at around 10pm. Noticed two lights behind me sitting on my tail for about 5-6 miles despite my going rather quickly (was not racing but, like I said, was in a hurry to get to town).

Eventually I started to slow down as I was coming off the freeway into the town we were trying to get to, and a junky-looking '93 Civic with a fart pipe ZOOMS past. I suppose he proudly put a KILL sticker on his driver-side door and posted the story and a pic of the sticker on some Civic forum afterward about how he KILLED some poseur in a convertible Mustang!
