Almost everything on street tires went up since the tires are just faster this year. We're also now .002 close to STR so not too bad.

Because GS weren't easy enough?

I welcome competition in STX next year in Chicago! I'm still way too slow, I need competition (and probably a coach) - it's a hollow class win. But this is how the class builds up again - people decide it's time to have a little fun modding and compete.

Front spoiler splitter legal on Frs since rs 2.0 has it.

So can the STX FRS FINALLY get a front spoiler/splitter since the 2015 Frs rs 2.0 has one and is available in the U.S. market?

I don't Autocross but the 71r effect is a bummer, even in the 86Cup. I likely won't join any of those events because of the penalty. It's a 200 treadwear tire like the others, so IMO should be treated equally. However, I do understand why the penalty is incurred. Still don't like it. /rant

Sure, if you have a frs 2.0, or totally convert a 2015 to 2.0 specs.

I believe the rules say you can apply parts from any model version and back date years.

Looks like your recollection of the rule book was greater than mine, my apologies. I had to look it up. Although I don't see anything about update/backdate as it applies to street touring bodywork.

F. Addition of spoilers, splitters, rear wings, bumper covers, valances, side
skirts, and non-functional sccops/vents is allowed provided that either:
1. It is a production part which is standard or optional equipment of a
US model of the vehicle. (“Model” is defined in Section 12.)
2. It is listed in the vehicle manufacturer’s US accessory catalog for that
vehicle for normal highway use. This does not allow for parts sold
through a manufacturer’s performance catalog (e.g., Ford Racing,
82 — 2015 SCCA® National Solo® Rules
14. Street Touring®
HPD, Mazdaspeed, Mopar Performance, Mugen, NISMO, SPT, TRD,
etc).
Parts must be installed as directed by the manufacturer. Exact
replicas, including weight, from alternate sources are also permitted.
Should be able ot under that rule as long as there aren't any special things that go with the install (I doubt there are). For example I know any S2K can run the CR front lip since its just glues on or whatever, but can't run the CR wing due to the trunk bracing that is part of it.

The RS body parts are STX legal. But not other TRD parts not on the RS. That's how I understand the rule(s).
