Well I ended up getting a 970gtx. Based on all the reviews I read it's much better value for money than the 960. Even though it's like a $150 price gap. Added another 4gb ran for 8 total. And overlooked my i5 from 2.8 -> 3.6

As far as playing PC on a TV, that's much easier these days. TVs are really just monitors anyway so HDMI works just fine and cables are no issue as you can pretty much get anything to anything these days.

You can also do it wirelessly although not the best for games but works great for movies, browsing, etc. I have a Surface Pro I and a Miracast received we use for Netflix/etc when traveling. Works great for that. Hook it up to the TV in the hotel/rental and watch away.

7800 can play fallout 4? 🤔

Obviously you aren't going to play it maxed out but here's where I am. I do plan on an upgrade soon but trying to decide if I want to upgrade the whole rig or just the video.

That's amazing, but I guess that also explains why fallout 4 looks so much like fallout 3. :p

7800 was the recommend card for FO3 as matter of fact if I remember right.

hahaha, maybe if you are into modding then you have to get an upgrade later.

Skyrim mods are crazy, I don't think any other game gave me as much value as skyrim since I still play it once in a while even after 4 years. Hopefully modding community is just as big or bigger for fallout 4.

Yeah a buddy and I tried that and Steam Link sucks even over a wired gigabit network.

Lowered resolutions, studder, and lag.

I plan on building a rig for my home theater room eventually but I want to do it right and have it 4k capable which means a good $1500+ investment.

So moving my current rig is a chore and pain

So consoles allow me some home theater gaming when I dont want to sit at my PC.

I just decide which games I want to sacrifice visuals in order to sit on the couch for.

Fallout 4 falls nicely into that category

i've been playing around with some settings since upgrading to the 970 gtx. Seems like alot of people are having framerate issues / lag when going into cities. Its probably my i5-760 @ 3.6 GHz thats bottlenecking.

Debating if i want to just upgrade the mobo/chip... or wait for a patch from bethesda.

You shouldn't be playing games while driving. If you're walking or in the bus then it's ok.
