Will DC5 Recaros (RSX) seats fit?
I purchased a pair of DC5 Red Recaro seats (no rails or brackets) that came from an RSX recently. I am completely new to swapping out seats thus I have limited knowledge on how to get this seats to fit.
So far, I attempted to pull out the passenger seat to get a better understanding they work. Unfortunately, I've stripped one of the four bolts holding the rails in place and could not get the seat out. I was short on time but I'll deal with it later. So my question is, for those who do have stock seats (non bucket/racing) from other vehicles, how did you manage to fit them in a 86? Would it be possible to use the rails/sliders from OEM seats and modify them to fit with the DC5 Recaros? P.S. Ive searched the forums but only found post dealing with aftermarket bucket style seats that mount on the side where as DC5 Recaros mount from the bottom. |

you'll probably have to get a bottom mount bracket from like Sparco or Planted, and then modify that to fit the dc5 recaros.

Thanks for the advice. I was able to get the seats in. I went with Recaro sliders and Wedge seat brackets. Seats fit perfectly beside the long driver seat belt buckle position. |
