I would continue to search around simply due to the mileage gap between yours and the dealers.

Is that all that's "damaged"? Piff. Like we told you on your last thread, use that 5000 you plan to spend and fix your "damaged" spots. And you'll still have money left over.

Sounds to me like you can't drive a manual. There is a simple fix for that, ask a better driver to teach you.

If your really dead set on getting an automatic, look around for one with lower miles.

LOL I do, I used to drive a manual everyday for work when I had a work car. I hate to blame but those paint damages would've been avoided if I had not been begged for a lift during those time The tiny dot chips at the front I dont know how it got there and for the wheels... I was at the end of a tight street and some lazy driver was making a turn into the same street. The person couldn't be bothered to turn his/her steering wheel enough so when he turned into the same street, he/she entered the right lane first before moving into the left.. It was first month I got my car, I panicked and tried to save my car but scraped it on the footpaths curb insstead . Bugger drove off like he didn't know what happen. I'm pissed at myself everyday for not catching up with them

The dealer's car may look perfect, exterior and interior wise...

But what about mechanical-wise?

As I said before, you are looking at a car with significantly more miles than your own car. You have no idea of what may or may not have been done to the car. On top of that, the dealer is clearly lowballing you by asking $5000 AUD more for a car that is worth less than your own.

Yup, I'm trying to look for someone who can fix my paint perfectly around my area, then probably try sell it online.

Is the paint really worth fixing though? It will definitely lose a bit of resale value, but I think you'll lose more money painting it.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, anyone.

Short answer No... paying 5k Aud for the same car in my opinion is crazy. If it was the TRD sport version then it would make a bit more sense but for the same car just manual w/ more miles? Idk man! I might be wrong but I believe doing a auto to manual conversion might even cost you just as much if not just a bit more but it comes down to you if you really want to do it then go for it !

Why are you even considering that trade??? This must be the twilight zone.

You can get a replacement set of OEM wheels and tires cheap. And you got a couple rock chips so what.

So you want to pay 5000 for a "worse" car than your own the only difference is its auto, doesnt have minor curb rash and a couple rock chips? wut?

Should I trade my car in. No.

Find an auto owner with buyers remorse. Purpose a straight up trade.

I've been there recently, reading stuff wrong.

Yeah, it would seem weird that someone wants to trade their manual car for the exact same car with an auto, but everyone has valid reasons for doing so.
