I wouldn't call it minor but not major there's drone for sure, 3k and below just coming off the gas to a stop I'll clutch in pretty quick if there's a cop around. But if your just adding the cat back and nothing else you will be fine imo. It's a single exit full titanium system so of course it's gonna sound pretty loud compared to other systems. If you want something similar but not AS loud you can get the Buddyclub spec 2 at half the cost, I had that as my first exhaust and loved it! No silencer wasn't that bad for the street and it was pretty light too.

I love my Tomei 60S. It is what I would define as being "loud but not too loud". My car is stock height ATM, and I have exactly 4" of clearance where the lowest portion hangs - I've never scraped, or scratched it, and that was a big concern for me when I first bought it over a year ago.
That being said, I'm not positive that I have as much clearance on it as I could - I might be able to get another 1/4 - 1-2" more if I wanted to mess with re-installing it. I have very sensitive hearing, and my exhaust doesn't bother me. It really doesn't drone at all - I've only experienced some drone when traveling up steeper hills at lower speeds (< 25 MPH); my car is an auto FWIW. I also shaved around 28 LBS going with my Tomei 60S over the stock exhaust, so that's a nice bonus. If money is a concern right now I would suggest you wait another month until Black Friday is upon us, then you'll see 10 - 20% discounts (and often other savings, eg free shipping) offered. A lot of the vendors on this forum will give an additional discount for forum members on top of what they're already running - I encourage you to reach out to a few of them and request a quote. edit - pics cuz aw yeah ![]()

^ looks damn good. It's a mystery to me how Tomei can put out Ti exhaust of this quality at such a price point.

In retrospect, I think that it was a blessing in disguise for me that the M7 Titan was no longer available; I love my Tomei 60S, and it was about half the price! |

The tomei 60s is amazing! Sounds great, loud but not too loud. Until ... I installed the tomei UEL headers, the cold start is LOUD. I live in Vancouver and drove it to Whistler once, mostly uphill all the way. It was somewhat unbearable, could barely have a conversation with the passenger. Now I have the silencer on the exhaust, it's loud but not that loud and I love it. It does look a little less appealing with the silencer though.

So exactly how much police attention do you guys attract with the 60S? Have you ever been stopped because of how loud it is? And for that matter, from what I've heard, the cops in Irvine appear to be very strict when it comes to modded cars, especially ones with loud exhausts. How is it over there OP?
