A buddy of mine recently started talking about it and it has been on my mind lately. No sleep and no time for family initially comes to mind.

In what order? Was the restaurant your day job? The restaurant aspect seems challenging in itself. Congrats

no, I took care of the restaurant at night and on the weekends. hell I even took vacation time at work so I could take of events we booked. my dad and cousin(before we let her go) handled stuff during the day.

This is exactly what I need to do. But currently part time college student with a full time job and a full time girlfriend.

standing on my feet for 16 hours a day. I was a supervisor at a DQ (before I was manager and that would count as 2 full time jobs as I worked the same hours haha) and a sales rep a a future shop during the xmas season. I made some bank though.

best part is I made more money as a manager at a DQ then any other job I have ever had. That is sad isn't it.

very sad. I make the same amount of money as a project coordinator for a field service company, as a friend of mine whose a supervisor at in n out...

@echo419 Two desk jobs seem a lot more manageable than what you had going on (on paper). Again, I applaud you for getting it done. I suppose if you could do it all over again, you would do it again?

I managed an opening shift at a coffee shop, taught classes at night, copy-edited remotely, and worked a couple days a week at a photography studio. It probably added up to around 60-70 hours a week plus drive time, which was pretty substantial.

This is why I live right next to my office now. The commute's the part that was exhausting for me.

Yeah, I could see how the commute would be a substantial part of the equation. Especially when managing more than 2 locations.
