Sometimes, it's more about quality vs. quantity... If that's the appropriate phrase here.

Subtlety over flashiness.

Plus, it doesn't seem fair when we don't have a concrete list of exclusive parts for the RS2 outside of what we can already see in photos.

Also, I lol'd at Scion calling their car "luxurious." Mostly because Lexus.

@KR-S 86 the FR-S is a Go-Kart on Steroids not "luxurious car".

BTW I like my Flashy RS 1.0 more than my 10 Series or whiteout.

This Release version looks like the sports car for grown-ups that like the sporty design but want the luxury look too. It looks significantly richer than your run of the mill FR-S.

Too bad at 61, I am still not in that "grown-up" category.

This really seems like a let down compared to Release Series 1.0.

With RS 1.0 you had the Quad Exhaust, the TRD Body Kit, TRD Springs, TRD Shift Knobs, and the TRD Steering Wheel. The Body kit and Quad Exhaust are hard to come by and ridiculously expensive even when diving deep into the aftermarket community. The only reason it didn't get more praise was because of the unpopular Yuzu Yellow, I'm sure if it was released in a more popular color like Whiteout or Raven it would have sold like hotcakes.

The RS 2.0 on the other hand seems like a rehash of the Monogram Series with some rims that are probably overpriced and a lip kit. I mean if you can't find anymore Monogram Series/10 Series/RS 1.0 than I guess you'd have to settle for this one to get the upgraded package, but it's overpriced for what it is. Especially considering I got my Monogram Whiteout for 25,000 out the door.

On the contrary, the yuzu yellow is actually quite popular....at least around where I live...

Um, it's a luxurious go-kart.

Luxurious to me means there's sound deadening, softer suspension, and more leather. Otherwise, how else would this car appeal to the intended target...?

How do you figure? They both have unique exterior colors, and unique interiors. Both cars have black wheels, but the Hyperblue is just sporting OEM 86 wheels. The 2.0 also has a unique front and rear lip whereas the hyperblue just has the typical BRZ rear spoiler.

In the end it just comes down to personal preference. There are pros and cons for each special edition that some people either love or hate.

In terms of price, even though it's preference, It's a lot cheaper for a limited edition. Which is a big factor imo.

I like this 2.0. It's not nearly as gaudy as I expected. I like it more than the 1.0, the Ten series and the Hyperblue. I do find that my favorite edition is still the Series Blue in WRB though.
