Had a guy pull up next to me this morning on my commute to work. He was driving a riced out Lancer Evo. Kept revving his engine to initiate a race. I decided why not since I'm young and dumb, and knew I was gonna get smoked anyway. I just love opportunites to make the 86 sing. Low and behold, the driver must've just been horrible at driving because once I shifted to second (with the signature wheel chirp), I pulled away and the Evo backed off. Who woulda thunk it. Totally think this was a situation where I won because of the driver and not the car

There is about a 32.33... uh, repeating of course, percent chance that you would have won anyway.

Are you sure it wasn't just a Lancer with an oversized wing and phat bodykit?

Trucks would try to race the pope-mobile. Or at very least overtake it and pump smoke into the pope's face.

Truck drivers man..

Thanks for this! I bought a similar pair for my NB Miata (totally unrelated vendor) and I've been wondering if anyone offered a kit for these cars.

OH! Just remembered a fun one from this weekend...

There was an all stock FRS with Cali plates driving batshit crazy in my area. He was going from 50 to 100+mph on the I-5 and weaving through traffic acting like your everyday asshole. Anyway, as I'm on my way to get my morning coffee, he flies past me, slams on his brakes, and then pulls up behind me gluing himself to my bumper, revving and swerving and whatnot. He didn't seem too friendly and was definitely giving off a "come race me" vibe.

I wasn't about to indulge him in a straight sprint, but as I hit my exit I decided to deter him by carrying my speed through the turn. Sure enough, those primacy tires of his didn't hold up and he ended up understeering, slamming his brakes, then fishtailing. He didn't wreck, but I wouldn't be surprised if he needed to get his seat reupholstered after that.

Moral of the story: Twin drivers can be ****s too. Also, don't be an asshole in traffic.

No Problem! I'll probably be ordering them for next month, I seem to be used to cars with much less of a blind spot in the mirrors. http://fteightysix.com/ is an awesome vendor they've got great customer service

I love ego destroying stories like this, especially when other fucktard Twin owners try to race another one.
