Heat shield on headers

Has anyone tried fitting oem heat shield on aftermarket headers? Or are there aftermarket headers with heat shields that look close to stock?

Why does everyone always want to hide headers & stuff like that from the dealer?

Is it because of warranty stuff?

If anything an aftermatket header is probably putting less heat into the engine bay since the cat is gone (usually).

That said, I had mine ceramic coated so that there would be even less heat in the bay.

I half assed tried with the FT86SF header, as far as I could tell it wasn't even close to fitting. Seeing as he is in Cali, I'm guessing carb legal motivated.

Yes sir, I've recently had a run in with the lovely authorities and unfortunately was found guilty for having a catless set up... My car just dosent feel the same anymore.

replace the stock header. Even if you manage to retrofit the stock shield. I dont think you'll be fooling anybody, never mind the authorities that look at these type of cases everyday.

There's still no aftermarket header with a heat shield or an aftermarket header where the stock heat shield would fit?

Gut stock header or gut+weld in straight pipe. It works.
