If you used appropriately rated silicone, it will not melt, as it should be rated for 500+F.

Do you know where that passage that's going down goes to? Because this happened back in march of this year I believe, and I am hoping it doesn't clog up any oil lines.

I really have no idea, but if that happened so many months ago and nothing has happened, I think you're clear.

Hey everyone, I have been doing a ton of reading of and on since this thread started. Now that we are at near 80 pages there is no way i can rea it all.

I think the AVO kit is the best option for me as I love the sound of the UEL header, not need to remove the oil pan, OEM style oil pump option, etc. My question is, how are the header/manifold holding up over time? I know i remember reading about leaking manifolds, warped flanges, etc. has that pretty much been taken care of now? I DD my car and DO NOT have time to have the car down constantly fixing minor issues, and thats why I have waited for 3 years to do any kind of power upgrades.

I've never had any issues with mine. I used the grimmspeed gaskets and the header flange was machined though. I bought my AVO kit from a member after he ran it for a bit.
It was exactly what the car needed.

Talking

Hi everybody!

I have a question about Ecutek´s boost settings via map switching.

Do I need to add something to my setup like "separate boost controller and valve" to get it done?

If so can you guys give me advice "best valve" Im complete newbie about this thing.

My kit has 8 actuator and 3" AVO catted full exhaust.

For ecu controlled boost you'll need a boost control solenoid that plugs into an existing harness (replaces the evap). You'll need to talk to your tuner about getting it enabled

You could also run a standalone boost controller, either manual or electronic. The problem with this route as a newbie is that the potential to blow something up is quite high

In my opinion, you should go with the ecu controlled boost setup because it will be easier to use and setup. Talk to your tuner, they probably have a solenoid for sale
